Hofer Tanktransporte AG joins the ECTA Responsible Care program

As of April 8, 2024, Hofer Tanktransporte AG is a member of the "ECTA Responsible Care Program 2025"

The Responsible Care (RC) program is a global chemical industry initiative committed to continuously improving safety, health, and environmental performance. The ECTA RC program is based on an agreement between the "European Chemical Transport Association" ECTA (www.ecta.com) and the "European Chemical Industry Council "Cefic" (www.cefic.org). On October 23, 2008, an Agreement was signed by the ECTA President and the General Director of Cefic. It was agreed that ECTA will implement the principles of responsible care in the European land transport industry. It was officially launched in February 2009 and was the first pan-European Responsible Care program.

As a member of the ECTA RC, we have the following advantages:

• We demonstrate adherence to good corporate governance standards to our customers, potential new customers and other interest groups in our company
   
• By following the RC continuous improvement program, we support our HSSE department in audits and accreditations
   
• We get benchmarking opportunities with many other European chemical logistics companies. This means we know where we stand in international comparison on a qualitative level
   
• As a member, we have access to best practice guidance and information to help us continually improve our business
   
• We have the opportunity to participate in various working groups to help establish standards and, as a lobby, to help shape future policy in the field of logistics
